    I have been working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Working for Starwood has overall been a positive experience. The company culture is largely positive even though it sometimes gets a little full of itself. The pros i have experienced are:

    Great travel discounts
    very flexible schedule and work life balance
    Promote from within
    Great upward mobility
    Large network of transfer and relocation opportunities

    Cons

    The biggest cons:

    The pay is not great
    Turnover is high
    The medical benefits are not great
    The job is not challenging but everything is based on a bonus pay structure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    My advice would be to stop hiring just anyone off the street, but invest in people that will stick around. Rather than constantly working to train new people to replace the old use those resources or offer more competitive wages to attract better talent.

    I applied online – interviewed at Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

    Interview Details

    They use the STAR interview process. Be prepared to explain real problems and solutions and what you did to overcome etc. Express your customer service skills to the max. They first do a phone interview with the assistant manager if you pass that you then move on to in person interview with the assistant manager then after that you have an interview with the general manager then after that with HR and the higher ups. 4 interviews total
