    Pros

Stepan is small enough where each employee can make a difference. Stepan has a diverse product line and a global footprint that helps provide a stable foundation. If one area is underperforming, another can help compensate. They offer a good health care benefit package.

    Cons

Stepan sometimes relies on internal relationships to get things accomplished versus being process oriented and it can feel like you get stuck seeing the same problems repeating.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Stepan.

    Interview

The process was totally professional. HR communicated by phone and email to set up an agreeable interview time and then sent out an agenda with expected arrival times, interviewers and timeline. The company requires you to fill out an online application also but page could have been more user friendly. it was not completely intuitive.

    Interview Questions

    • I interviewed with five department heads for an hour each. Questions were conversational and varied by the interviewer.   Answer Question
