I have been working at Stowers Institute For Medical Research full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It is great pleasure to work in this wonderful institute. People here are very helpful and work in a collaborative manner. The research facilities are amazing and we just need to consider the scientific questions without sacrificing your precious time to prepare laborious reagent preparation. In addition, living expense in Kansas city is low and we can have a good quality of life with the salary provided by the institute.

    Cons

Here, postdocs can be promoted to other titles with commensurate salaries as long as you have a certain number of research accomplishments.

    Interview Details

Description of the job during the interview did not match the work required to perform. In fact there was no "or as required" during any part of the interview until my first disciplinary action.

    Interview Questions
    • Questions weren't the problem. Oversight of compliance was a bit harsh and often rude going behind my back to speak to supervision rather than bringing the issue directly to me. Definitely a case of the have and have not's.   Answer Question
