I have been working at Suffolk Construction full-time

Suffolk has some of the brightest, most passionate, and dedicated professionals within the industry. In recent years the culture and management structure have been completely transformed into a well integrated team. The enterprise is growth oriented, dynamic, and always strives to improve. The company is highly focused on work-life balance, with 5 Summer Friday's off, a highly progressive paid time off plan, and more employee flexibility. There has been a huge boom in female leadership in recent years, with 25% of the management committee positions filled by women!

On rare occasions politics can still rear their ugly head, but they are much less frequent, much more contained, and have a limited impact on the company's ability to grow and evolve.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course... the more transparent, communicative, and disciplined leadership is around the company's direction, the more trusting and engaged the workforce will be

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Suffolk Construction (Boston, MA) in August 2015.

Reached out to them over linkedin. Couldn't inform me who I was interviewing with until a day before the interview. The recruiter had multiple typos in her emails and the whole process seemed extremely unprofessional. Had one on one interview with the hiring manager who was 35 minutes late cause of a meeting.
