Company does not fully understand marketplace and does not invest enough in its products to keep them relevant in the marketplace. Revenue growth is achieved through acquisition only.
Advice to Management
Invest in a substantial rewrite of your core products, else face extinction longer term as there are too many pure Java and .Net solutions on or coming to the market that will ultimately eliminate your core products from even being considered for evaluation. Your core differentiator is your financial strength and the comfort that it can provide CIO's making a decision. However, Oracle's recent acquisition of Adminserver takes away the only landmine (it's financial strength) associated with that company. Oh, and the fact that your core solution can only run on Oracle technology must really tick you off....did Oracle even speak with you prior to the acquisition (probably not).
