Sunrise Senior Living’s unique resident-centered services are delivered by a team trained to encourage the independence, preserve the dignity, enable freedom of choice and protect the privacy of each resident we serve. Where We Work

Sunrise and its subsidiaries currently operate communities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, with a combined unit capacity of more than 31,000 units. Sunrise offers a full range of personalized senior living services, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss, as well as Nursing and Rehabilitative services.

Skilled nurses provide on-site, quality clinical care.




Short-term Stays

Temporary care option offered to families who care for elderly loved ones; also an option for seniors needing extra assistance after a hospital visit, or during an illness.

    I worked at Sunrise Senior Living full-time (less than an year)


    Excellent training, pay, benefits and work environment. Good company culture and very rewarding work.


    This is a huge company with some organizational flaws that make it difficult to answer to the various demands from corporate while managing one's day to day job responsibilities. Some disparity between high-paying customer expectations and poor delivery of service. Hard, sometimes grueling work. There are some "bad apples" in leadership roles who's behavior does not align with the value statement and mission of the organization. Too much tolerance for bad behavior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Do not qualify someone for a promotion just because they have seniority within the company due to longevity. Apply the "Peter Principle" and place people in positions they can manage well.
