    Pros

Working to change the world and the way people buy power, leadership is focused and working on the right tasks and objectives, profitable. The company values are ideal; they want their employees to be happy and committed for the long haul.

    Cons

It is the solar industry and part of the solar coaster. Products and policies are constantly changing and it is an ever evolving company. That is part of what makes it fun, but it is challenging to stay ahead and motivated at times. Leadership is constantly pushing for more sales, more kW installed, work harder and faster for less benefits. Financial compensation could be better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work-Life balance is very important. Recognize when people have done a great job and compensate them fairly.

Typical online application through a job board about 4 months before hearing anything. Held phone interview initially and then an in-person a week later w/ 2 hiring managers in the department. After my in-person I was told there would be a decision within the next week as they were only interviewing a few people. I never heard back on anything after my in-person interview, contacted the HR coordinator to ask if there was an update and was completely ignored. Advice: If candidates are taking 2 hours off from their current positions to come in for an in-person in which there are only a few candidates they absolutely deserve the 2 minutes it takes to write an email.

Sunrun makes going solar--and saving money on electric bills--about as easy as it gets. We purchase the solar panel system and work with the most trusted, local installers to get the panels on the roof. We charge a low, locked-in rate for the solar power the system produces and also take care of the maintenance, monitoring and insurance. Too good to be true? Nope, it's just Sunrun helping everyone and their wallet look awesome.
