Great team, offices are located in the centre so near shops.
Loads. Facilities for staff are poor, there isn't even a canteen so you have to go out into town if you want anything. The council is typical local government and coming from the private sector I was hoping that my preconceptions about working for a council would be proved wrong - they weren't. I liked the CE but generally management and leadership was poor, no one seemed to want to make decisions or change anything in case they were blamed.
Advice to Management
You have some great people who have some great ideas but as council you need to change. Staff need to understand how their roles impact on the community and so develop their customer service skills. When I came for my interview I was shocked at the reception and the lack of anywhere for customers and visitors to wait. It feel very old fashioned.
