I have been working at Synergis full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I would encourage all who read these reviews to actually reach out to current employees and ask them why they stay! Synergis offers a great place to work to those who are willing to work hard and the financial rewards are fantastic! There is a reason that we have tenured recruiters and sales people who have been here for 15, 11, 9, 8, 7 and 6 years! Let's face it - the staffing world is known for being a tough business and not everyone is cut out for it!

    Cons

Like any organization we have areas of opportunity and I do know that our Leadership is always looking for ways to make us an even better place to work! Every year I have seen the results of these efforts and I appreciate being able to speak up and have a voice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to focus on making us better and keeping the lines of communicationm open!

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 8 weeksinterviewed at Synergis.

    Interview Details

They thoroughly vet candidates. I went through 8 interviews over the course of two months, and honestly, ran out of questions except one major one - where is the diversity? Started by phone with a great recruiter, then two interviews with team members. After that, in-person with would-be supervisor, then another phone interview with two more higher-ups on separate occasions. Finally an in-person interview with the team (including the person they hired before me).

    Interview Questions
    • Most unexpected question was about whether or not going from community-oriented work to corporate recruitment was going to be too drastic a change (found it to be implying something vaguely racist)   Answer Question
    Reasons for Declining

Conservative company culture and Lack of diversity made me feel like I would have to pretend to be someone else just to get through the day and not ruffle feathers in a very small office. By the time I was given the offer, my enthusiasm was deflated from so many interviews and compensation did not match initial discussions. Long commute too.
