I worked at TCF Financial full-time (more than 5 years)

The departments are lean so top performers rise to the top. Lots of access to management and communications about company strategy. Strong work life balance.

Beyond the Director level, opportunities become more limited since there are few positions available. Most people rise through the ranks so there's not a lot of diverse thought leadership.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at TCF Financial in April 2011.

    Interview Details

Passed through the phone interview screening process and then got called to go to the Minnetonka office to meet with VP of Credit and VP of TCF Financial. They asked basic questions and told me about the company. I asked them many questions which impressed them. Didn't get offer because of age but the interview process was fairly easy. No behavioral based questions.
