At the core of the TIC family of companies is a steadfast commitment to the professional growth and development of its workforce. This commitment to training has been a critical success factor in our achievements and our foundation of being Powered By People®.

At the center of this endeavor is a comprehensive training program sponsored by TIC Holdings, Inc. (TICH). Training programs are conducted at the Corporate Training Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and throughout TIC's district offices and projects. Training is provided through five key modules: Craft Training, Supervisory and Management, Leader Development, E-Learning Center, and Safety Training

Our craft training program is specifically designed around the concepts and curriculum of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), a non-profit foundation dedicated to research and excellence in the construction industry.

TIC and several of the largest merit shop contractors in the country have pooled their resources to help establish the NCCER.

• NCCER is nationally and internationally recognized for developing and managing the highest quality craft and safety programs in the industry
• TIC is an ongoing member and provides financial support to NCCER
• TIC’s craft training programs are NCCER accredited
• NCCER accredited craft skills assessment services are provided by the Corporate Training Center
• NCCER craft trainer certifications are provided for over 250 trainers throughout the United States
• The Corporate Training Center also sponsors TIC’s Bureau of Apprenticeship Training (BAT) electrical apprenticeship training program

TIC - The Industrial Company offers a wide variety of opportunities for employment and growth within the company. We offer our employees the opportunity to grow and develop through world class training. No matter the skill level or professional experience we have a position and career path for everyone. We have three different position categories Internships, Craft and Professional/Entry Level.

Internships - TIC offers spring, summer and fall internships and co-ops to graduate and undergraduate students. Students studying Business, Construction Management, Engineering (geared at the "build" channel.), Safety Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Development and Human Resources are able to apply what they are learning from the classroom. Students receive an experienced professional to be their mentor to guide them throughout their internship. We use our internship program as a primary source for hiring new college graduates. Craft -TIC is always looking for the best talent to fill our craft positions. Craft employees consist of but are not limited to Boilermaker, Carpenter, Electrician, Crane Operator, Instrumentation Fitter, Insulator, Iron Worker, Laborer, Mechanic, Millwright, Operator, Pipefitter, and Welder. Our craft employees enjoy an environment where "Nobody Gets Hurt" and "sending workers home injury-free" is part of our core values. Our Incident Rate is that of the lowest in the industry. Craft employees receive training from a training institute that is second to none and has received accreditation from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Professional/Entry Level -TIC/Kiewit is currently #3 on the ENR top 400 Contractor's list. We are looking for talent with 0-30+ years of work experience. TIC’s commitment includes:

• Hiring local craftspeople and laborers and providing training and skills upgrades for the local workers

Some examples of the organizations we support include: community betterment programs such as DARE and teen leadership workshops, Little League, 4-H, Scouting, schools, church programs, hospitals and local service organizations.
