    I have been working at TMX Finance full-time for less than a year


    Working at TMX Finance has been an eye opening experience to what working for a company should be. I was encouraged to succeed from the first day. My supervisor's "open door" policy provides a positive environment and welcoming attitude in the department, allowing for a high level of work/life balance. Recently I expressed interest in transitioning into another Department and not only did my boss support me, I was also shown the steps to take by the Recruiting Department to make an easy transition. It has been a pleasure to work in such a professional, positive atmosphere.


    I cannot think of one Con to working for this Company.

    Application Details

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at TMX Finance in November 2013.

    Interview Details

    My friend told me about the job and I gave him my resume to forward to the recruiter. The recruiter contacted me within a few days and we had a 10-15 minute phone interview. We exchanged emails and I was sent an invitation to Hirevue which is a webcam interview. I was given a week to prepare for the web interview. The Hirevue lasted about 30 minutes and I was told they would contact me within a week to let me know their decision. A week later they contacted me and wanted me to come in and interview with a couple of the Senior Managers. The interview with the Seniors lasted about 30 minutes and they walked me around and introduced me to everyone. After, they told me I would get an offer in a few days. I received an offer the next day and accepted it.

    • They asked me about wall types and ceiling types. The questions were not difficult just unexpected. They asked me what kind of wall was the wall in the interview room. I gave them my answer and they asked how would I go about checking it? I then answered I would check above the ceiling tiles to see what kind of wall it is.   Answer Question
