Takeda Pharmaceuticals is committed to strive toward better health for people worldwide through leading innovation in medicine. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, Japan's largest pharmaceutical company and one with a 230-year heritage. Takeda's U.S. clinical development activities are conducted via Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. Today, Takeda is one of the top-15 pharmaceutical companies in America.
Our robust product pipeline is focused on treating serious diseases and disorders, including bone and joint disorders, cardiovascular disease, central nervous system disorders, respiratory and immunology disease, general medicine, oncology and infectious disease.
We are committed to improving health and supporting our employees, partners and the larger community as we build on our tremendous success as an emerging global leader in the pharmaceutical industry.
Over two centuries ago, a small medicine shop was opened in Doshomachi, Osaka, Japan to provide medicines to local merchants and doctors. This was the beginning of the present-day Takeda family of pharmaceutical companies. Many generations later, in 1998, Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. (TPUSA) was introduced.
Takeda Development Center Americas (TDC Americas) was established in 2004 and its 600 employees are responsible for Takeda's clinical research and development in the U.S. and for supporting clinical and product development activity for TPUSA. With a robust pipeline of compounds in development for the central nervous system, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, respiratory and immunology, oncology and general medicine, Takeda rapidly brings innovative products to market to improve patient health and enhance the practice of medicine.

Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
- Application Details
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks – interviewed at Takeda Pharmaceuticals in March 2015.Interview Details
I was referred by an old co-worker. I received and email asking me to do an "on demand" video interview. After I submitted that, I received an email asking for 7-25 references. They use an online reference checker where they send an email and ask those references to answer a series of questions. However, regardless of whether your references are a direct supervisor or a fellow coworker, the questions are asked as if they were all supervisors. I then got a face to face interview with the divisional manager.
Next step would've been an interview in Chicago with top management.Interview Questions
