Our Company

Talbots is a multi-channel retailer of women's classic apparel, shoes and accessories. We're known for providing gracious service and a quality selection of timeless wardrobe essentials designed to fit women of all shapes and sizes.

Our Heritage

In 1947, Nancy and Rudolph Talbot opened their first shop in Hingham, Mass. a quaint New England town not far from Boston. They were entrepreneurs - eager to learn with keen vision for what their customers wanted.  Their business quickly became became known as “the store with the red door” and a go-to destination for classic style, great color, impeccable tailoring and personalized service. In 1948, they launched their direct mail business by distributing 3,000 black-and-white fliers to names obtained from The New Yorker magazine. Today, there are more than 500 Talbots stores throughout the U.S. and Canada with catalogs and an e-commerce site reaching a vast audience of loyal customers around the world.

    Application Details

    I applied in-person. The process took a dayinterviewed at Talbots.

    Interview Details

    This process was easy. It entailed filling out the correct paperwork on site and subsequent interview in store's manager's office area. It was very straight forward, focusing on prior work experience, job expectations on both sides of the table, salary and availability. It was mainly to see if you will fit into the culture of the store and are able to present yourself in a way the reflects positively on the brand. I was offered a job on the spot.
