I have been working at Taskstream full-time for more than 3 years

I relocated to work at Taskstream, and what drew me to accept the job offer was a curious comment made by one of my interviewers during the hiring process. When I asked her about the company culture, she said that it was like family. Having been at the company for a few years, I'd have to agree. This job, my coworkers, and the work I do day in and day out are unquestionably one of the main reasons I am happy that I relocated to NYC for this job. As with all families, there are some idiosyncrasies and challenges; but, blood is thicker than water and the loyalty is fierce. In the department I am in, employee retention is phenomenally high. Attrition is not a problem. That speaks volumes. I worked in higher ed in academe for several years prior to coming to Taskstream, and I'm proud to say that this company comprises the most passionate and dedicated individuals I've had the honor of working with.

Healthy dysfunction is inherent to any family. There is no such thing as a perfect company. I'm disappointed in the negative reviews that have been posted thus far. Glassdoor is the Yelp of corporate America. You need to consider the fact that individuals who feel strongly enough to post reviews to a public site are usually going to fall on one extreme end of the satisfaction spectrum or the other. I acknowledge that I am on the highly satisfied end of the spectrum, which is why I felt compelled to write this review: to provide some balance in perspectives offered. To be honest, I'm currently feeling burnout as a result of one of the "cons", which is that we are shortstaffed in some areas. But to be fair, we are in the process of hiring new talent and promoting existing talent in my department, so there is a light at the end of my tunnel.

The hiring process did not seem like the traditional job interview process. Instead, it was a series of very lively and enjoyable conversations. The interviewers won me over immediately and accepting the position was a no-brainer.
