I worked at Telegraph Media Group as an intern (less than a year)RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Tons of opportunities to chase stories and hone reporting skills. Interns are given a lot of responsibility and assumed to have a high competence level. Journalists in DC office are excellent and great mentors.
Some administrative work, but that's to be expected. Internships are not extended beyond their one semester term
Advice to Management
Allow your interns to stay with the organization and grow; offer paid internships

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ weeks – interviewed at Telegraph Media Group (London, England (UK)).
Two face-to-face interviews with a business case exercise and presentation to IT Solutions Architecture leadership.
Offer was made below my current package that they were aware of the values from the beginning. During the negotiation process they just disappeared and never heard any more from them. Tremendously unprofessional their attitude. Very disappointing experience.
