I have been working at Terra Technology

    Pros

A good mid sized highly ambitious company. Lots of work and good opportunity to gain a lot of hands on experience. Client interaction from day 1. A company that you wanna start your career and gain good experience and may be move on after an year or two. Growing company with a good work culture and no nonsense management.

    Cons

Its initially tough to find yourself understanding their product though you would get used to it later on. Lots of complaints from new hires generally when they start and at times you need to slog for long hours. Here, it either a 35 hr week or a 70 hr week. May be at times people here feel that they are under paid. People call it as a one happy family, but they miss the bonding and hence looks like out of sorts at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its a great model, the model speaks for ourself , we have been attracting lots of clients and we are hiring actively even in the times of recession. But, why are we not able to hold on to a lot of people for long spells of time, because there are no events or any activities that would develop team spirit among the colleagues and even if there are one or two dinners here and there, superior level of management stays aloof from them. Have to realize its the employees who are the backbone for everything a company achieves not the model by itself.

    Implementation Project Manager Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 5 months - interviewed at Terra Technology in May 2014.

    Interview Details

Application: mid-Jan 2014 via web on Terra's website
1st HR contact: Feb last week via email from Catherine Giro
HR Screening round: Feb 2014 end
    Technical Screening: March 2014
Leadership round: May 2014 (Head of PMO)
(if selected would be face to face round)
HR notification: Sorry, moving forward with another candidate for next steps (email): June 2014

I felt that Terra lacks the strong will and agility and so, the candidate follow ups will lead to the next interview more quickly. I was finally able to interview on Memorial day for the leadership round (though a US holiday) since scheduling wasn't working out and there were missed interview dates in the past.

I felt that the processes and HR support was great, just that the rest of the organization is not agile enough to more quickly.

    Interview Questions
