Good, depending on your reporting structure

I have been working at Texas Capital Bancshares

Opportunities for advancement, depending on your line of business. Very customer-oriented, some flexibility in terms of time off, and if you have a good manager, a satisfying place to work. I like the vast majority of my coworkers.

Embroiled in corporate politics, much more than would seem on the surface. HR department is clearly there for management, not for employees. Very much an old white guys' club at the top.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Weed out the most toxic management and you'll be on the right path to keeping the corporate culture that you tell your employees you're working hard to protect. Political games are what will keep you from innovating further and delivering the best possible service to your clients.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6+ weeksinterviewed at Texas Capital Bancshares in November 2012.

    Interview Details

Everyone was very friendly and they genuinely want to hire good and talented people to fit the family culture they have. Interviews were casual but thorough. If the position doesn't fit what you are looking for, they are very open to consider you for other positions they have that works with your experience level and desired career path.

    Interview Questions
    • Do you want to stay on the credit side long term or would you want to become a relationship manager?   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Able to negotiate base salary and sign on bonus. HR is really there to work with you and be on your side. It does not ever feel like it is the Company against you regarding the offer. They are very honest about what they can and cannot do.
