I have been working at The Designory full-time (More than 10 years)

Designory is unlike anywhere I have worked before. It is a place that offers more than just coming in and filling a role that was vacated by someone else before you. You can create the type of position you want (if it fits into the process and plan of course). If you are the type that is progressive and is always looking to improve yourself and the job position you hold, this place offers the freedom to do it. I have seen people come in and find smarter, more efficient, more creative ways to do what we do. New (good) ideas are always welcome and often implemented. If you are driven and want the freedom to grow yourself, this place can help. You can always come in and just do what the job description says, but what fun is that...

If you want to work at an agency that tells you what to do, when to do it and everyday's workload is perfectly planned out for you, this is not the place for you. There is very little hand holding. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. Crazy client fire drills keep it interesting and never dull. This is not the place for you if you prefer to just sit at a desk, head down, and just complete your daily assignments.

    Advice to Management

Beer socials should be more frequent, like weekly!!!

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Designory.

Pretty simple, (maybe to a fault), very conversational. They had a need and filled it quickly. They sell the shop as the place to be. They're very proud of their work and make you feel like it's a very creative shop.

    Interview Questions

    • Typical interview questions, nothing too compelling.   1 Answer

There was no negotiation. They had a number and they stuck to it, regardless of your abilities, qualifications and talents.
