Berry Gordy felt it when he founded Motown. Henry Ford infused it into his Model T. And following the lead of Detroit’s great pioneers, The Mars Agency is powered by it. What is the fuel-injected secret ingredient? Soul. It’s in the sound, the rhythm and the steady beat of steel. And in this percussive, churning city we feel a gritty pride in.
Detroit runs freely through the veins of The Mars Agency and continues to propel us beyond 8 Mile to the farthest corners of the Earth. Today, The Mars Agency is a fully integrated, global industry leader in shopper marketing with shopper-friendly offices in eight U.S. cities as well as London & Toronto. From the D to the world and still on the move. And unlike other marketing agencies that have something to prove, we have a lot to offer. We create impact.
Brainstorming, strategizing, writing, art directing? If you think any of these is your calling and you’re a college student or recent grad, you may want to consider a summer internship at The Mars Agency. We offer internships in marketing, communications, digital media and human resources. You’ll work alongside industry vets as they navigate through real-world assignments, to develop marketable job skills, establish contacts and gain practical experience. If you think you’re up to the challenge, submit your application for our exciting internships this May through August.

- people are incredibly nice and there doesn't seem to be the ego of other large agencies - work-life balance is perfect: supervisors are extremely understanding if you have to leave early for a doctors appointment, etc. and overall the job is very conducive to family life. This could in part be due to the high number of women in leadership positions - impressive Fortune 500 clients
- The location - Southfield, Michigan is no Chicago or New York (if you like a smaller town though, this might not be a con for you) - Sometimes there is a lack of creativity. Brainstorms produce very creative ideas, but these unfortunately don't always transfer to the final concept.

I applied through college or university – interviewed at The Mars Agency.
Very casual phone interview and the lady I spoke with was very personable and friendly. Don't remember exact questions, but it was all pretty standard. Was then called in for an in-person interview with a potential supervisor which was also relaxed. They called me about a month later with an offer.
- They asked several questions to determine whether or not I kept up to date with industry news/trends Answer Question
