I have been working at The Roanoke Times full-time (more than a year)

The Roanoke Times has quickly become a new and innovative company under the new ownership, BH Media Group. We have updated equipment and our facility no longer looks like it should be condemned. Under our new management team communications have become transparent and employees know what's happening within each department. Since employees are located on three levels these communications have been helpful. At times, it may seem like overkill, but we are a communications company and at least I can now say I'm in the know. BH Media appears to be a great company that employees many people and it is my hope it continues.

Employees with bad attitudes sometimes. I know everyone is allowed a "bad" day, but some of these employees bring down morale for the entire department.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work! Our Publisher has been welcoming, helpful and kind to me on many occasions. She has always taken a moment to say hello and check in with many of us in my department. Personally, I think she has great ideas and with that type of leadership The Roanoke Times will continue to be a great community newspaper!
