I worked at The Scripps Research Institute full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I would say the you get great benefits, the location is great, and the ability to gain some experience is extremely helpful.Parking is free, which is a great help.

    Cons

What you get out of the experience really depends on the lab you end up in. Get a slave driver, you'll work really hard. I had to work really hard, which was good in the end, but terrible during the experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be mindful of your techs. They make the lab run, and if you treat them poorly, you will suffer the consequences.
