I worked at The University of Alabama part-time (Less than a year)

It was a fun position. It paid for my housing. I was able to continue living on campus. I enjoyed talking to the campers.

The hours were always inconsistent as far as what time of the day I was required to work. Serving on call 24 hours/day for 7 days is difficult at times.

    Advice to Management

There were many times where my team and I would learn about the schedule being changed and finding out a camp was coming the next day. We would then cancel our plans and work an 8 hour shift to prepare the building for the camp that we hadn't known was coming until that morning.

    Easy Interview

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The University of Alabama.

I applied for the job, received an email the next day to schedule an interview, had the interview (which was very easy), and was notified the very next day that I had received the job. Overall, it was a very simple process. The interviewers made me feel very comfortable by describing their research concentrations to me, and then we casually discussed where I could possibly fit in.
