I have been working at The Whitaker Companies full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great, professional, and supportive atmosphere. One on one training. Great coworkers and starting pay for the industry. I know people complain about long hours, but that is a big part of the industry. You spend a lot of hours in the beginning of your career building your pipeline. There's no way around it. If you have a problem with that, recruitment probably isn't for you. I'm right out of college and I love it.

    Cons

Houston traffic... but nothing really. I love it.

    Staffing Consultant Interview

    Application Details

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days - interviewed at The Whitaker Companies.

    Interview Details

I was referred by a friend of the company who scheduled my interview. I met with 4 senior staffing consultants. Generally casual conversations. They wanted to know about me and why I was interested in staffing and sales. Trying to get an idea for my drive. I was asked to come back the next week to meet with the President. The meeting with him was quick and was time for me to ask questions about the company. He then allowed me to meet with a couple newer employees to get an idea of what to really expect on the job. They did their best to prepare you for the job and make sure you are a good fit and are understanding of the stress and requirements.
