I worked at Things Remembered full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Custom engraving is actually fun. Customer stories are really entertaining. Advancement is possible in stores if you have great sales numbers.

    Cons

You have to know someone to get into management without being internal. Work-life balance for management does not exist. You have to work 40 hours, but that's if you have staff without staff they will force you to work open to close everyday. Tons of internal gossip that ruins peoples careers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend time at all your stores not just the ones close to your office. Be aware that you cannot send people from sales associate to manager without training. Give managers time some freedom to decide on what works for organization and visuals.
