I have been working at Thomas & Betts full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The amount of real-world problem solving experiences are countless. All of the people who work here are a great resource for one another, and there is an increasingly large amount of people with "open-door" policies. Safety is of the utmost importance, and there is a culture at T&B Albuquerque that should be adopted by all manufacturing plants across the U.S.A. Production and ownership of the market are also very alluring facets of this particular company and manufacturing plant.

    Cons

There are a lot fewer cons than there are pros for Thomas & Betts. One of its cons would most likely have to involve an established mentorship program for incoming employees and RCGs. Another facet that could use work would be the resources that are given to employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The slight change in meeting with manufacturing plants has become a very good culture for Thomas & Betts. Many times, senior management tends to come out of touch with the production at the ground-level. And, in order to help create long-lasting, meaningful solutions for the company, whether you're a hands-on or theoretical learner, you need to see and experience production for yourself.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Thomas & Betts.

    Interview Details

The interview was a very informal process. I received a phone call from the manager of the area who picked a place to meet up with me at. The location was an out of the way coffee show where we sat, drank coffee and discussed what the job was about. Questions about electrical work where asked, as well as willingness to travel in area (the state I was living in) as well as to corporate for training yearly.
