I have been working at ThyssenKrupp full-time (more than a year)

First off please note then when reading other's reviews that there are MANY divisions and companies under the ThyssenKrupp name. Do not allow other's negative reviews deter you from the company as their experience is of their division only. I personally work for the Industrial Services Division under ThyssenKrupp Materials NA which I can't recommend enough.
There is a tremendous amount of growth opportunities available. You get out what you put in. If you have a passion for what you do it will show. If you provide solutions and are actively engaged you will be rewarded. They have an excellent benefits package and 401k plus profit share.

The culture is under repair and being put as a top priority via employee culture surveys. There is nothing wrong with the current culture but as with any organization there is always room for improvement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice for management. Those who are in charge and making decisions currently have earned their place in the organization. They make decisions that benefit the employees and customers.

How do you say "giant engineering and steel company" in German? Try ThyssenKrupp and pronounce it "TISS-in kroop." The company is one of the world's largest steel producers and operates worldwide in two business areas: Materials and Technologies. The first is composed of the company's steel (carbon and stainless steel) and materials services businesses. ThyssenKrupp's Technologies group consists of its elevators unit, marine systems, components technology (for the auto and engineering markets), and plant technology (construction and environmental services) segments...
