A great place to gain experience for years and years

I have been working at Toxikon full-time

    Pros

The opportunities and variety of experiences can be endless. You can participate in studies at a level that you would not be allowed to in other laboratories in the area. I have never been bored or watched the clock. You never know what the next Sponsor who contracts a study is going to want, so you have to learn fast. For those who are bright and self starters you have complete freedom to grow and excel. The facilities, both lab and office space, are always maintained to the utmost level of cleanliness and repair.

    Cons

Some of the staff may have had jobs at a place that moved much slower or may have been good students in college but now in an industry setting fail to learn at the pace required. These people grow frustrated and disgruntled and then lash out and infect general morale. Some managers use a baby boomer style management on a staff that can be largely millennial.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve staff retention. Contrary to what other posts may say, there is not a need to invest in a revolving door. Those who leave under a year were not cut out to work in the CRO industry. Most aren't working the same place they left Toxikon for a year later. You do have very many people who have been there 5+ years. You need to listen to what drives the 2+ year staff to leave and make adjustments accordingly.

    Interview Details

Such cheaters. They called me twice and interviewed me and both times told me that I got the job but never called me to finalize. They check current references and then never send you an offer letter.

They play games and waste your time. Do not spend time to interview with these people.

I was forced because they told me they will match the salary but didn't. HR told me they will call me back and they didn't.
