Before control changed hands in April 2014, I loved working for and with the great team at Transitions.

I worked at Transitions Optical full-time (more than 10 years)

Teams I worked with were very dedicated, and IT was world class. International presence makes it a great opportunity to learn how to address cultural differences in the work place. Proponent of Gallup and Strengths Finder... including leveraging resources strengths, instead of beating up their weaknesses.

Budget very tight. Likes moving some tasks to offshore. Since ownership has changed hands, it is a far more negative environment, and feels unsafe compared to when it had the PPG influence.

    Application Details

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Transitions Optical in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I had two interviews, each one hour long with three people per interview, which seemed tedious but actually went well. Just like any interview, they ask behavioral questions and they'll ask you what you want to do. In my specific case, I was placed in a different department than I had requested but it worked out for the best.

    Interview Questions
    • One specific individual who seemed extremely intimidating (but is actually a nice person) kept asking questions in a way that made it seem like I didn't answer sufficiently, however, I just kept asking him to clarify because he wasn't being straightforward.   Answer Question
