    Pros

    Great repore with management and coworkers, allows schedule changes occasionally, lots of different customers to work and talk with, lots of opportunities to help others

    Cons

    breaks can be hard to fit into the schedule

    Keep on staying in touch with the employees, having supervisors/managers who have done the job is a definite plus

    I applied online. The process took 3 days - interviewed at TravelCenters of America in June 2014.

    Interview Details

    Applied on a Saturday, was called on Monday. Went for an interview Tuesday. It was horrible. There was the basic interview process with the manager (who was nice enough) but he told me one of their rules is no cashiers in the diesel aisle because two people had been abducted before. Then he made me put on a smock and walk around the store and try the register out, but then he left me to work the register for two hours - some of which I was alone for - and the other cashiers were very rude and impatient. The manager asked me if I had my social security card and driver's license with me, and I told him I didn't, gave him back the smock and left. I will not be returning.

    Reasons for Declining

    Leaving someone to work a register for two hours when they haven't even been hired yet is ridiculous. There should be different training days.
