Travelocity – Why Work For Us?

GO & SMELL THE ROSES

Here at Travelocity, we believe that travel enriches our lives and makes us better human beings.

We're inspired by how big our world is, and by the boundless experiences you can have—from the unexpected to the exquisite—once you get out and explore it for yourself. Above and beyond a way to get there and a place to lay your head at night, we'll attend to the details and remove any barriers in your way so you're all freed up to be inspired for yourself.

We want nothing more than to share in your wonder as you discover the world, one place at a time. We'll sweat the small (and the big, and the everything-in-between) stuff, you’ll just Go & Smell the Roses.

ROAM WITH US

Our biggest fan is actually quite small in stature – follow the Roaming Gnome on social media and get a taste of his globe-trotting, jet-setting lifestyle. You can connect with the Roaming Gnome and with Travelocity here.

The Good Life at Expedia

Collectively, the Expedia brands cover virtually every aspect of researching, planning, and booking travel, from choosing the best airplane seat, to reading personal travel reviews of hotels, to planning what to do in a destination once you arrive. The Expedia portfolio serves both leisure and business travelers with tastes and budgets ranging from modest to luxury.

No Performance Ratings

You’re more than just a number. At Expedia we’re focused on increasing the potential of our employees. We scrapped performance ratings and reinvented our performance management program to focus on providing employees with ongoing feedback. The take away? We provide you with more communication and tools to out-perform what you thought possible.

We believe in health and wellness and provide our employees with a comprehensive program to support their personal goals. Our well-being initiative offers information, resources and tools to create and maintain a well-balanced physical and mental lifestyle. Go! celebrates all opportunities to be active and feel our best.

We Embrace Diversity

At Expedia we believe in empowering our employees to connect with fellow colleagues who have the same interests and passions they do. From Women, LGBT, and Military/ Veteran focused affinity groups, to sustainability and volunteering causes, we support our employee’s passions and diversity around the world. You’ll find us recruiting at national conferences sponsored by diversity groups such as SWE (Society of Women Engineers), NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), SHPE (National Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers).

We’re inclusive and that’s never going to change. Whatever your culture, your background or your way of life, we have a rewarding career in store for you.

    Pros

Although not the same company anymore, as it is owned now by Expedia, Travelocity was amazing company. Many could work from home, fair management and good, ethical upper management,

    Cons

Just like any call center, the stats that agents must meet are not always doable, at least not if you want to be fair to the customer. But that got increasingly better over the years.

    Advice to Management

Look into why Travelocity customer service was well ranked. We truly cared.
