I have been working at Travelzoo full-timePros
Travelzoo hires great people. Everyone at the company is very passionate about the content they produce and the members they serve. It makes you feel good to know that the team you work with genuinely cares about the clients and the members. The subject matter -- travel and lifestyle content -- is incredible. The offices are all in great cities and have nice amenities and great views. Management is very hands on and into the details.Cons
For some, the intensity can be hard to manage. People work incredibly hard and the culture is very direct (I find that refreshing, but it's not for everyone). Things can start and stop a lot. Sometimes the company is so busy trying to execute on its plans that it forgets to communicate what its doing to internal parties.Advice to ManagementAdvice

Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
- Application Details
I applied through other source. The process took 4+ weeks – interviewed at Travelzoo in December 2014.Interview Details
Process was drawn out. The HR assistant (who is very pleasant) does the initial phone screening, if you make it through she'll schedule an interview with the Global Recruiting Manager. That's where it goes downhill - HR seemed disorganized. The interview was all over the place, and not in a good way. Made it to the next round for a in-person interview with the District Manager. Be sure to ask questions! This is your opportunity to get a feel for the business and your role. If you make it to the next round, you'll meet with the Regional Manager (who is completely unprofessional and arrogant). He seemed to have an attitude of being "too comfortable." When you're applying for a sales role the last thing you want to hear is that 25% of the team makes targets. Any intelligent person knows that clearly affects your income. Travelzoo should stick to what their business started as, not compete with a dying (Groupon) industry.Interview Questions
