Health Insurance

Full-time employees choose from two high-deductible plans that provide comprehensive coverage, pharmacy benefits, and 100 percent coverage for age-appropriate, in-network preventive care. We also offer high deductible HMO plans in select geographic areas. Eligible employees also may cover their spouses or domestic partners and children.

Dental, Vision and Hearing Plans

Our dental options encourage proactive preventive care and help offset the cost of major services. Our vision plan provides coverage for glasses and contact lenses. Our hearing benefit covers hearing aids through a national network of audiologists and ear, nose and throat specialists. All three benefits are available to full-time and regular part-time employees and their eligible spouses/domestic partners and children.

Health Savings Accounts

When you enroll in one of U.S. Bank’s high-deductible health care plans, you may be eligible to contribute to an HSA to save for and pay for deductibles, coinsurance and qualified medical expenses. You contribute before-tax dollars, which lowers your taxable income. You don't pay taxes on the money you use to pay for eligible expenses. U.S. Bank also contributes to the HSAs of eligible employees, which helps you save even more. What's more, your account is yours, even if you leave U.S. Bank. Use it today, and save for tomorrow.

Health Care Flexible Spending Account

You also may be eligible to contribute to an FSA to save for and pay for eligible health care related expenses. You contribute before-tax dollars, and you don't pay taxes on the money you use to pay for eligible expenses.

401(k) Savings Plan

With the U.S. Bank 401(k) Savings Plan, you decide how to save and invest. Make before-tax and/or Roth after-tax contributions from your pay into the investments you select. Our 401(k) plan features immediate vesting and an employer match of 100 percent of your contributions up to 4 percent of your eligible pay after you complete one year of service.

Cash Balance Plan

We're among the increasingly rare companies that offer both a 401(k) and a cash balance pension plan. Funded completely by U.S. Bank, your account grows over time with pay credits based on your age, years of service and pay level. You're 100 percent vested in your cash balance account after three years of service.

Life and Accident Insurance

If you’re a full-time employee, we've got you covered with U.S. Bank-paid term life insurance equal to your annual pay. You also may cover your spouse or domestic partner and children. Full-time and regular part-time employees also may buy additional group universal life for themselves and their dependents. You also receive company-paid business travel accident insurance, and you can purchase accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Disability Insurance

If you can't work due to an injury or illness that lasts longer than eight days, our company-paid short-term disability plan may replace a percentage of your pay for up to 26 weeks. (Pregnancy is covered under this plan.) Our long-term disability plan replaces either 50 percent or 60 percent of your pay. Full-time employees receive a subsidy equal to the cost of the 50 percent coverage level via a paycheck credit.

Transportation Assistance

With our Transit Plan, you can order transit and vanpool vouchers online, or participate in the Metropass program if you live and work in the Twin Cities metro area, and have the cost deducted from your pay with before-tax dollars. U.S. Bank subsidizes $30 of your order or Metropass cost each month. With our Parking Flexible Spending Account, you can use before-tax dollars to directly pay your parking facility or reimburse yourself for work-related parking expenses.

We offer a variety of time-off programs and other resources that help you strike the right work/life balance and find the help you need, whenever you need it.

Paid Time Off

  • Vacation – At U.S. Bank, we understand the value of taking time away from work to refresh and recharge, and we want you to use your vacation time. Employees who work at least 20 hours a week are eligible for vacation time. You begin earning vacation time after your first three months of employment. The amount of vacation time that's available to you depends on your role, hours worked, and length of service. You also may purchase up to an additional week of vacation each year (employees who work on a commission basis may not be eligible for vacation).
  • Holidays – We recognize up to 10 paid holidays each year (this may vary by location).
  • Sick days – You may be eligible for paid sick time. Full-time employees and part-time employees who work 20 or more hours a week generally are eligible for up to six paid sick days (or more if required by state law). Sick time is prorated during your first year.
Parental Leave and Adoption Benefits
  • Maternity leave is covered under our short-term disability benefits.
  • You may take up to two weeks of paid leave when you adopt a child or when your spouse/partner gives birth to your child. You also may use this leave when your spouse, domestic partner or other relationship partner gives birth to a baby you will parent or when you have a baby via a surrogate or gestational carrier.
  • You may be reimbursed for up to $2,500 of adoption expenses.
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account

Use before-tax dollars to pay for eligible day care expenses.

    Great training, supportive company, you have a connection with upper district and regional management, ability to move up as fast as you want as long as you work hard and make a great reputation for yourself.

    The pay, the benefits, the fact that our customer service scores stick with us all year.

    Provide better health insurance, give salaries that will keep employees engaged and prevent turnover,throw in some perks like wifi in the break rooms!

    easy process, simple questions, but the HR employees did not have an understanding of the job so it was a risk until I got into see the hiring manager. The department appears to be in turmoil with new management that does not understand the issues at hand, their focus is on fixing it, but they just talk about fixing it and don't actually fix it. Some really good people are leaving
