I have been working at UPS Freight full-time for more than 8 years

The company is very protective of the Brand and that made me proud to work for them. They pay well and are generous with time off during the work year.

There is little to no work / life balance. There is entirely too much focus on taking tests that do not benefit the employee, but rather the company. The biggest complaint I had was the expectation that I would be available when I was on vacation..... that was a reality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out how to be more of a 'people' company - allow the employee that has time off to separate from the company to enjoy that time off.

It was a very easy interview. They reviewed the resume and expanded on that. I have not been as relaxed in any other interview. They asked basic questions on what you could contribute to the company.I would apply with them again if I did not get the job because I would just have to figure out what was missing. I am waiting now

(LTL carriers consolidate freight from multiple shippers into a single truckload.) UPS Freight operates a fleet of about 6,700 tractors and 22,100 trailers from a network of more than 200 terminals.
