I have been working at US Department of Treasury full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

great work life balance. Good salary, easy hours. Forty hours a week. good benefits. No rush times, ability to travel if need be.

    Cons

There aren't too many challenges. There is also no easy way to get ahead, since it's the government. Experience is much more important than merit - so this is not a job for workaholics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    more merit based promotions.

I applied through college or university – interviewed at US Department of Treasury.

    Interview Details

It was one phone interview with typical behavioral questions. It was two interviewers through a conference call. They scheduled the call with me after I applied through the USA JOBS portal. The entire process took a total of 4 weeks. The people at the office were very fast at responding to questions.
