    Refreshing and Stimulating

I worked at US Green Building Council as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The best reason has to be that you have the freedom to choose your own project up to a certain extent and can work with people from any team you want. There is a a lot of inter-departmental interaction and everyone is up to date with the most recent developments.

    Cons

A con may be that there is a lot of work involved in which you may need to take independent decisions. Although that doesn't sound like a con at all, it certainly adds up to the pressure (not much though) over time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You guys are already so good that I almost don't have any advice as such!

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 4+ monthsinterviewed at US Green Building Council.

    Interview Details

It took three months to be contacted for my first interview. For my first interview, I met with human resources, then peers in the department and a director. My second interview was with the vice president of the department. It took about 4 weeks to receive an offer. The interviews each had overlapping questions.

    Negotiation Details
There wasn't much opportunity for negotiation. Even though it's a non-profit, salaries are competitive with the for-profit sector. Raises are usually modest and infrequent.
