I have been working at USS-POSCO Industries

It is a good place to start with little to no education. There are numerous ways for growth, most of which depend on the personal motivation of the individual. If you hire in entry level there is room for growth and occasional opportunities for learning a trade or craft. As an electrician hiring in there is about a 50 - 60 year spread in equipment technology that is great for experience and learning. But most growth is still dependent on the individual.

Low pay for trades people in comparison to the industry standard. The company has little care for the needs of the individual. It is a production oriented environment where all non-production units are treated as secondary and the needs of places like maintenance are not given proper consideration. Poor moral as a whole for the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire personnel managers to supervise people, do not use technical engineers to manage people. This creates lots of confusion and frustration. Increase the pay of the trades personnel they are approximately $5/hr underpaid. Invest in the facilities of the crews that work here not on the grounds of the facility that people do no use.
