I worked at United Health Services full-time

    Pros

Great team work. Family atmosphere. UHS has an inspiring vision and mission to improve the health of its immediate and surrounding communities providing many valuable and often limited services including behavior health, dialysis, and weight management.

    Cons

I did not have any negative experiences at UHS but did find that Senior and Top level management often missed opportunities to personally reward and recognize individual long term loyal employees which was disheartening for those retiring from a lifetime of work with UHS and set a poor example for new hires in whom you are trying to instill loyalty. However, they were very supportive and encouraging during employment and sought out internal employees for new challenges that they thought would be successful.

    Advice to Management

Continue to look for ways to personalize and individualize rewards and recognition for your employees. Help them to embrace and become champions of excellent care for the difficult populations you serve.
