I worked at University of Detroit Mercy full-time

Work-life balance was very good. times that I did work an occasional weekend for an event were not burdensome. It was a rewarding place to work. Lots of opportunity for personal growth. Free tuition was really nice and gave me a perpective of life in the classroom for the students. Professors and academic deans work together as a cohesive unit. Office culture was very good. Offices across campus work together for the students. They truly want great things for the students.Very good benefits. Access to the dental school is a nig plus!

Crime rate in the neighborhood around campus; however, campus itself is gated. I always felt safe on campus.

Perhaps students taking a really tough test wish for mercy at University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). Michigan's largest and most comprehensive Catholic university is sponsored by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and the Religious Sisters of Mercy. UDM has an enrollment of about 5,700 students at its three campuses (two located in residential northwest Detroit and one in downtown Detroit). It offers about 100 academic programs, and paid internships around town. The school was formed in 1990 through the merger of University of Detroit (founded in 1877) and Mercy College of Detroit...
