I worked at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey part-time (More than 3 years)
I love working at dental aesthetics because I was able to get to know each and every one of my patients. I was able to get my feet wet and all dental procedures from route canals to dental implants to regular feelings all the way down to fitting someone for full mouth dentures top and bottom! I have worked many jobs from retail to a call center and I can tell you that all feel is where I belong
I would say the only kind about where I work at for 2 1/2 years was the 45 minute commute around I 695
Advice to Management
I have never manage any company but I can tell him at my last job I was lead dental assistant
Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
- Accepted OfferPositive ExperienceAverage Interview
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Newark, NJ).
It's pretty straightforward if not the same as any other companies. They call you for an interview. They ask a series of scripted questions and then you wait. My interview was relatively easy, I spoke to the hiring manager and spoke to the Director the same day. UMDNJ has many managers so you might have to go through a series of interviews if they really like you. But 2 months later, I got the call and got hired. Nowadays, it's a lot quicker. You apply online. If HR approves of your applications, they get sent electronically to the hiring manager. Everything is done electronically, including the scheduling of interview and hiring. These are all done through e-mail.
