I have been working at Vantiv full-time (more than an year)

The work itself is challenging and rewarding. It is a "real" agile shop, continuous integration and monthly deployment, cool stuff! You can learn a ton, new technologies are always being adopted and established ones kept up. Many programming languages used, you get to touch everything. The company doesn't just give lip service to diversity, they seem to really value it. The time-off policy is standard, which is good for me.The extracurricuar activities are great too, tennis, golf, frisbee, basketball, ping-pong, magic cards, board games, there is something for everyone. Panera bagels every Thursday! Ice-cream truck (free) weekly in the sumer. Regularly scheduled socials. The management is great, no "horrible bosses" here in Lowell.

"Pair-programming" is required, which is not a con to me but could very well be one for you. The health insurance is run by the Ohio headquarters and they seem a little out of touch with MA standards for what developers tend to get, but it is not horrible I guess.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As to the Lowell management: Keep doing what you are doing! To the corporate masters in OH, don't mention "lobster" in any more videos... this isnt Maine lol

Not much to the interview process. The most difficult of interviewing at Vantiv is getting the interview. HR is VERY disorganized and not very effective. So, you could submit a resume that fits their needs perfectly, and not get a call. Also, you can have a detailed phone interview with an HR representative, who tells you that you are a great fit, and will be asked to come in for a face-to-face interview, and then never hear from the company again. I have been told by several people that this happens a lot. They just lose track of you.

You may not know it but every time you swipe your credit card, a whole world of transactions take place in the background. And Vantiv lives to rule that world. The company, which operates through subsidiary Vantiv LLC (formerly Fifth Third Processing Solutions), is a merchant acquirer - a third party payment processor operating between merchants (and their banks) and customers (and their banks). One of the largest merchant acquirers, it also handles PIN transactions, fraud detection and management, and credit card issuing. Catering to small- to mid-size customers, Vantiv... More
