Current Employee - Senior Manager Site Acquisition in Bloomington, MN

I have been working at VelociTel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I led and managed direct and indirect site acquisition agents/managers as well as A&E and Regulatory on the aggressive Turf 2.0 build schedule. The management structure was set up in such a way that I had the freedom to develop people and processes that met and exceeded objectives. We streamlined reporting so that we could focus on the work. I only left the company due to a major philosophical difference I had with the former COO, and overall we parted on good terms.

    Cons

As the company began to transition its key management structure and personnel from the top town, the transition was a bit awkward and painful as one would expect.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what your front-line managers in market report to you. Use that information as a check and balance in developing longer term strategies. I left the company prior to the arrival of new management so I don't have visibility to whether or not this advice is being implemented.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at VelociTel (Eden Prairie, MN) in March 2014.

    Interview

The interview process was very thorough and those conducting the interview seemed to be enthusiastic about hiring me. I had good cause to believe the hiring managers would hire me.
I was told by their HR Department in NC that I was approved for hire a while ago but never heard anything back wit respect to when I could be expected to start. I had to proactively follow up and when I did, I received an email that they were checking on my status but I still did not hear anything. I did not feel that the experience was as organized or professional as it could have been. Perhaps they are going through a bunch of re-orgs.
