I worked at Verizon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent salary and benefits. Amazing tuition reimbursement plan. They paid for my bachelor's and master's degrees. I was very lucky to have worked for the company for over 20 years.

    Cons

Verizon claims they have an excellent work/life balance which is false. If you are management your job is never safe.If you take maternity leave, expect to be punished when you return. I never had children, but many of my female co-workers who did were treated unfairly when they returned. Some even lost their jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want dedicated workers to stay you must create a better work/life balance environment, respect male and female workers equally and create an environment of continuous respect.
