There's nothing like learning something new and getting anything from it right? I've had knowledge from certain herbs, ingredients and products that can improve your health and well being and VM definitely helped me to grow my knowledge in all that aspects. Knowing you are helping someone and contributing to a better and healthier life is really rewarding. The company provides you with all kinds of information to assure you are well informed and be able to orientate the customer and cover all of their needs. Plus of course the word commission is nice and it gives you the motivation to give the best customer service as possible to achieve the goal and of course improve your commission.
They make you do a LOT of modules, lots of information to read and to learn in very short time. I really disagree with the way the set their goals to make the sale and do the numbers.
Advice to Management
This is personally the part were I'm the most unhappy, the management makes you almost "attack" the customer, I am a customer too and I totally hate that. They refuse to give away the flyers the company gives them with additional discounts and even free vitamins because "it's not fair they come to spend $15 here". Talk about saving the planet huh? I must say I have done things MY way, approached customers with flyers and made my assigned goal following my way to sale and approach customers. They always gave me a speech whenever I had a transaction that was less than $20. I really hope the company read this and do something, store is located in Mayaguez PR. I truly believe every customer from the one who only buys the protein bar to the one that gets the entire personal program is absolutely important. Also I found not fair women were supposed to buy a clear handbag and men's were able to bring their fanny packs or even backpacks.Managers are supposed to be an example of who you have to be at work, not someone who you almost completely disagree with. Needs improvement.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week – interviewed at Vitamin World (Marlborough, MA).
Sat down and asked some questions, told me a bit about the company and how great it is and how much I can potentially make (lies). I applied online and met the store manager and then phone screened with the district manager. Store manager doesn't generally hire a lot so process wasn't perfect but not to bad. If you're half motivated you should be a decent fit here, assuming you're ok with being way underpaid
