Nice, friendly co-workers in large but isolation of teams makes it hard to feel connected as a whole. Lots of room for autonomy read: take on extra work.
Lousy growth potential and benefits. You will be told at the start about the great package and then the carrot will be held on an ever growing stick with 'lack of budget' as the excuse. The budget never grows even though the buildings get remodeled and the senior staff get promotions.
Advice to Management
Take care of good people and top performers otherwise you won't have any left. This is a competitive industry and good people aren't going to hang around because of loyalty that isn't returned by the company. The cost of living in Maine is not low enough to pay as lousy as you do,

I applied online. I interviewed at WEX (Portland, ME) in August 2015.
A very cold and stuffy interview. Lack of personality from the interviewer. Lack of professionalism--interview was interrupted for said interviewer to partake in a department meeting. The overall vibe was poor. An interviewer should be welcoming in order to get the best from their candidates.
