Walmart Canada was established in 1994 with the acquisition of the Woolco chain. Over the past 18 years, Walmart Canada has more than doubled the number of stores in Canada and more than tripled the number of associates, creating a strong, stable retail chain which offers career opportunities.
With headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, Walmart Canada now operates a growing network of more than 370 stores, including traditional discount stores, supercentres and an environmental demonstration store in Burlington, Ontario. With nearly 90,000 associates the company is one of Canada's largest employers. Walmart Canada's corporate culture was recently ranked among the 10 most admired corporate cultures in Canada by Waterstone Human Capital Inc.
Walmart is committed to saving Canadians money so they can live better. Each of our stores carries close to 100,000 different products ranging from apparel and home decor to electronics and grocery, plus specialty services such as pharmacies, garden centres, and vision centres.
At Walmart, we are proud of our unique corporate culture. This culture, some of which grew naturally from small-town beginnings, sets us apart from the competition. It has helped us become one of the world's most admired companies.
Our three basic beliefs
Sam Walton founded the company on three simple yet very important beliefs. To this day, these fundamental beliefs are the basis of all policies and decisions by which we operate.
Respect for the Individual
We have a culture built on respect for all individuals regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religious beliefs. We understand and embrace the differences that allow us to grow as a company. Our strong belief in open and honest communication encourages those around us to express their thoughts and ideas freely.
Service to our Customers
Sam Walton said it best: "Our customers are the reason we're in business, so we should treat them that way." Offering our customers the products they want at everyday low prices, and providing friendly and helpful service are just two of the ways that we provide service to our customers. We also serve our customers by challenging ourselves to find new ways to exceed their expectations.
Striving for Excellence
As a company, we promote and encourage continuous learning for all associates, at all levels. This commitment to continuous improvement, combined with what Sam Walton called a "healthy dissatisfaction with the status-quo", helps the company to grow by bringing simple and smart ideas to life.

during this process you are set up in a 'speed date" situation where you are asked multiple questions by multiple other walmart employees with different positions. Next from here you are told whether or not you are right for walmart and brought on to a second interview to where you would accept or deny their proposition for you and from there they gather references for you.
- just a few would make you think out of the box, but nothing that would be considered to be too off gard. Answer Question
Talking about pay, the rate and whether or not you are going to be fulltime and parttime and what the hours are like for each position

Retail giant Wal-Mart Stores made its blanket coverage of North America complete with the 1994 acquisition of the 122-store Woolco division of Woolworth Canada. Wal-Mart Canada's discount stores offer a vast selection of products, including apparel, household goods, hardware, toys, sporting goods...
