I worked at Walt Disney UK full-time (more than an year)Pros
The benefits are fantastic - not just the formal ones but the more casual ones like movie screenings and special events. You get a real feeling that this is a company dedicated to making life a bit more fun. I really appreciated that.
Colleagues are all highly skilled and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed.
Look up work-life balance in the dictionary and you'll probably see Mickey himself - I never saw anyone stay late.Cons
The clique system is alive and well in this company!! If you're not part of the group, you're discounted so you have to go and find your own group - which is then frowned upon as you're not hanging out with your own. It's most confusing. They also don't like anyone who wants to try something new (process wise). Even though the company is huge, there are a lot of disconnects and thus the political games are rife.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Get creative, start collaborating more with other locations and divisions and stop hiring clones - it's the differences in people that make a company great!RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEO
