I worked at We Energies (More than 3 years)

Work / Life Balance, Unique Engineering Challenges, Steady stream of work, plenty of opportunity to improve processes.

It is a work environment where there are some who work for the union, and some do not (it is about 50/50). This leads to varying levels of engagement and quality work expectations. Furthermore We Energies is a regulated utility which creates a status quo work environment where there is little or no threat to underperformance because there is no competition. This leads to average or below average work performed by its employees, and little value in improving processes.

    Advice to Management

Incentivise process improvement efforts, and formalize the process. Penalize underperforming employees more.
