My experience working as a GA was exceedingly positive. In addition my day-to-day duties, I was able to take on projects that benefited my program and provided me with practical professional experience.

As a GA I had no negative experiences while at WIU. It was sometimes disheartening, though, to see casual attempts at undermining as well as demonstrations of ill-will taking place among some of the faculty and staff at the university. However, I know that these actions and attitudes are not unique to WIU.

    Advice to Management

As a GA with contractually agreed upon duties, responsibilities, and benefits, I have no advice to give the management/administration linked to my position.
