Standard & Poor’s: AA Very Strong

Third highest of 21 ratings; rating held since July 2013 for very strong financial security characteristics.

A Standard & Poor’s Insurer Financial Strength Rating is a current opinion of the financial security characteristics of an insurance organization with respect to its ability to pay all claims under its insurance policies and contracts in accordance with their terms.

A.M. Best Company: A+ Superior

Second highest of 16 ratings; rating held since June 2009 for superior ability to meet ongoing insurance obligations.

The objective of A.M. Best’s rating system is to provide an overall opinion of an insurance company’s ability to meet its obligations to policyholders.

Fitch: AA Very Strong

Third highest of 21 ratings; rating held since June 2009 for very strong capacity to meet policyholder and contract obligations on a timely basis.

Comdex: 96 out of 100 (composite held since July 2013)

The Comdex is not a rating itself but a composite of all the ratings that a company has received. The Comdex ranks a company, on a scale of 1 to 100, in relation to other companies that have been rated by the services. The Comdex is an effort to reduce the confusion over ratings, which is caused by each rating service using a different scale.

A company needs to be rated by at least two rating services to receive a Comdex. The Comdex is based on the ratings issued by the following rating services: A.M. Best, Fitch, Moody’s Investors Service, and Standard & Poor’s.

Financial Representative Career

The purpose of the Financial Representative position at Western & Southern
Life is to meet the middle-income client needs for risk protection and financial
security by educating clients, analyzing needs, and recommending solutions in an
ethical and client-focused manner. The Financial Representative provides
financial solutions to the right people, in the right way, for the right reasons

Administrative Careers

Our District Supervisor and Account Recrievable Analyst roles provide Customer Service and Sales Support to current and potential clientele, represent our services and support our Financial Representatives.

Selection Process

We like to think that we don’t select qualified candidates. We collaborate with them.

Our multi-step selection process will provide opportunities for both of us to determine if this is the career for you.

Whole Life Insurance

    Pros

    Great company to work for with great compensation and benefit package. Straight commission after 8 weeks, so you get out of it what you put into it.

    Cons

    1. To many Sales Managers and Trainers that are doing the training not qualified. The trainers were not successful in the field so they go to Home Office to train others on how to do it.....not good. 2. Some Home Office personnel need to realize that without the Financial Representatives doing what they do there would be no need for their job.

    Advice to Management

    1. Set up a Mentorship Program using your more successful Financial Representatives as Mentors 2. Remove unqualified Sales Managers that should not be Sales Managers and put more qualified individuals in that position. 3. Instill a culture at the Home Office that they are there to support the Field.
